Matt Waymeyer does an excellent job in this short book (only 146 pages) in defending what he prefers to call "believer baptism" since it is one person who believes and is being baptized. The book was written out of Waymeyer's own struggle to understand the issues involved with infant baptism or adult, believer baptism. He did so after he and his wife were considering having children while attending a Reformed church. He begin to read books on infant baptism but was unconvinced. This book was written from his own reading, studying, and praying about this issue.

Overall this book is well written, full of Scripture, and is concise. In a short book like this, the reader can easily grasp Waymeyer's views and why he believes the Bible teaches believer baptism.
