Briefly covering the most significant points:
- Don Piper contradicts himself, showing his dishonesty. He clearly says at 13:22 of the attached video that he saw God. However, in page 30 of his book, Don Piper clearly says "I did not see God".
- There is a litany of issues with what Don Piper describes of what he saw in heaven - mansions and such.
- Don Piper gives a very detailed account of what he saw in heaven. Now, only 3 men in the New Testament were allowed a glimpse of heaven. (1) Right before he was stoned, Stephen said (Acts 7:56) "Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God." That is either all he saw or all he described of what he saw. That's it. (2) John – who wrote Revelations. (3) Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:2-4. Paul, "whether in the body or out of the body", he did not know, was "caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter."
These are the only 3 accounts. Now Paul, who roughly wrote a third of the New Testament, was not allowed to tell us what he saw in heaven. Even with that inability to tell us, he was given a "thorn in the flesh" in 2 Corinthians 12:7, so that he would not become prideful - "And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me". Paul wasn't even allowed to say, and even then we was given a thorn in the flesh to prevent pride. How then is it that Don Piper is allowed to give us such a detailed account?
Don’t waste your time with this book. You are much better off looking at something like “Mere Christianity” by C.S. Lewis.

In addition to Mr. Piper's heaven expereience, he has woven into this book a rich storehouse of good Biblical teachings on how we should live our lives here on earth. I couldn't put it down until the end.

To receive full impact of this book, one should read Don Piper's 1st book 90 MINUTES IN HEAVEN. Many blessings to be gained in both books. Piper's 2nd book refers to his incredible experience as he assures reader to be confident in God's special care of each of us in all circumstances.

This book was inspirational and written by a man who has a strong faith in the Lord. It was very inspiring to me and I can imagine it would be to those who have suffered similar tragedies in their lives. I highly recommend it.

This is an amazing book! I wish that on one Sunday, everyone in the world could have a copy and read it. I would like to see what that Monday would be like. It would change the world. Please read this book! After you read 90 Minutes in Heaven, you will understand why God brought Don Piper back to earth.

I gave this 5 stars and I think it is the best of the 3 books Piper has written as he shares the lessons he learned about his experience of going to heaven. It has enlightened my mind and heart and given me so much encouragement and a whole new picture of what happens in heaven. A particular blessing I learned is that we will not notice who is "not" there because we will be so joyful to be with those who "are" there---it is a place of no tears and no sadness and no looking back.

I would suggest reading "90 Minutes In Heaven" first and follow up with Heaven is Real. As a witness of my Husbands passing and my Mothers I know they are in Heaven for sure! The Pain is all gone now and I hope to meet you at the gate. Thank you Don Piper for making heaven a reality for all. Blessings to everyone.

I loved 90 Minutes in Heaven and this book was just as good. It was easy to read and I really enjoyed the book. As in the first book, Piper discusses his own personal experiences, backing them up with Scripture. What I found intriguing was that the author waited two years after his near-death experience before he went public with the story...and this was only after strong encouragement from close friends.

I have read both of Don Piper's books and feel so comforted by the message and testimony in both books. Having lost my son in a tragic accident 3 months ago, I was seeking comfort and that is what I found in these works. The books are easy to read and are a remarkable story of courage, faith and divine presence.

I was given a copy of D. Piper's book, read it and then ordered my own copy. His testimony of being dead, going to the gates of Heaven, coming back to share what he saw is so believable. I also have his book, 90 Min. in Heaven which I recommend reading before this one. I'm ready to go, having the assurance from Don Piper, who agrees with Scripture, that Heaven is wonderful for the believer. We all should be ready.

I purchased this book and could not lay it down. For anyone needing the message of HOPE, this is a must read. I have also read 90 Minutes in Heaven and this follows it nicely. Great follow-up after the first book.
