God loves you, He truly does. He is better than you might think. Some people grow up with a perception of who God is. They think that God is out to punish them and that He is mad at them. That type of thinking is totally wrong. God is LOVE, but not the kind that you are used to. God is longing to be in a relationship with you and show you how much He loves and cares for you. God is not a distant, disapproving force that is difficult to please and unwilling to help. He is a loving, kind, gracious and good God. What you believe about God and yourself is indispensable to your growth and success at every level. Examining and experiencing who God really is and what He really thinks about you is fundamental to getting unstuck from self-defeating thoughts and behaviors, dissatisfaction with yourself, and unfulfilling or harmful relationships.
God does not look at you for all of your mistakes and downfalls; He looks at you as His CHILD. He looks at you through the eyes of LOVE.

This book was very good at helping me to experience who God really is and not who others say He is. He is the God I do not have to fear and who sees me for who He created me to be. This book is very freeing and encouraging! Great for new and old believers who desire to become who God created them to be.
I have already recommended this book to many people and bought it for a friend. It is one I will reread!

God Unwrapped: God is Love But Not the Kind You Are Used To - was a very inspirational book. It was wonderful to know the kind of God we serve. I was also able to discover that our perceptions of God come from significant people in our lives, but God wants us to tear down those perceptions. God wants us to see Him for who He really is. As I read this book it made me realize who God is. He is the creator of the constellations and of this world we live in, and He created you and I and we are good when we serve our mighty God. I would recommend this book to you it is a great book to use for a small group study or even a Sunday School Study. I received this book for free from ChristianBook.com and I was not influenced in any way.
