I originally bought the two volume hard-copy of John T. McNeill's Institutes. The CD was less than half the price of the books and the content is exactly the same (down to the page numbers.) The disk is easy to navigate (much faster than flipping around.) You can zoom in and out, search, and so on.

You don't have to get caught up in that vast proprietary software network of other suppliers to simply read Calvin. Pretty soon "other" organizations will buy up everything and you will have to go through "them" and there software just to look up a simple quote from men such as Machen or other Reformed great. Now if someone would only publish The ESV in pdf (that we could buy) with no notes and no red letters. That would be nothing short of heaven.
