A must read, but not for the theologically flabby. This book is as rich in theological explanation as it is in practical application. It does a fantastic job of recovering what the church and Christendom has lost in these many centuries when Christianity has had its hand on the seats of power. The gospel is not received by those who are seeking power, but by those who would forsake the world's power. Those whom the world has forsaken are spiritually closer to receiving God's grace than those of us who have been seduced by the world's power. Bob tells many inspiring stories about the marginalized and disadvantaged and how the power of God has rescued them and turned them into holy rescuers as well. Very inspiring!!!!!
