Thomas Nelson The Missy Files: Changes in the Wind on VHS Video

In Changes in the Wind, Missy tries her best to befriend Jaque Joseph, a new girl in the neighborhood. Jaque rejects Missy's efforts, letting Missy and her friends know that she is "above" hanging out with them. A determined Missy knows there is something deeper and launches a full campaign to make Jaque feel welcome and comfortable in her new town.

After a series of defeated efforts, Missy and her friends come up with a masterful plan--they'll throw a bowling party in Jaque's honor. When Missy accidentally drops the ball on Jaque's foot and breaks it, it seems like all is lost. Ironically, though, through what appears to be a tragedy, Jaque opens up and reveals that she's really been covering up the pain she feels as a result of moving and leaving all of her old friends. Missy and Jaque soon forgive one another and forge what will certainly be a lifelong friendship. Recommended for ages 8 to 12.

I got it for my 11 year old daughter. She thought it was OK, but it didn't "grab" her. I had bought another tape and she didn't even care to watch it. Good values but not that entertaining.

Not that good. Unlike the good sissy pike movie (same actress as in this one and sun rock ranch) it is more like a play, and a bit boring. "missy" uses shakespear boring language. its a bit weird. not as good as sissy pike.

This video is a great movie for young girls (& Grandmas)especially having difficulties making new friends at school. Dealing with pride, humility & determination, what a great way to instill godly values in our young girls. The best part besides the movie, I can still get actual videos! I haven't come up in the world yet to the DVD player age. LOL. Love ya Christianbook.comfor having something for everyone here!

Not what we expected. The message was fine, although it did sort of just skip to what Jacque's issue was without giving the "in-between". The movie looked like a home movie and the acting was sub par.

This is a good story of friendship, but Missy is a little too dramatic at times, making her seem a little arrogant. The other girls are more realistic. All-in-all, it is pretty good.

The content of this video was uplifting and funny. My eight year old granddaughter and her friend really enjoyed it. It is a vhs so viewing quality is not as good as a dvd, as expected.

My daughter liked the way the kids continued to walk in love and be friendly to a new girl at school dispite the way she acted.
