These three books are outstanding! If you love historic fiction you will not be disappointed. The beauty with which she builds her characters causes you to begin to see them as real people you could reach out and touch. They could be your ancestor in a wagon train, pioneering in the wilderness or settlers starting what will become a town. She truly gets women. She is awesome in weaving their story, lives, emotions and connections into your heart. I cannot wait for another book.

Jane Kirkpatrick makes the characters come alive and you fall in love with their courage, strength, tenacity and love of the Lord. This is by far the best series that I have read. My heart remains full and I am forever changed by the relationships of these women.

I just lucked onto this book, given to my cousin who gave it to me. I loved this book and can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the series. I would find myself thinking about these women and their families, what they endured, and how they came through each and every trial with their faith, love, joy, friendship, and decision-making skills intact. A real pleasurable read; would recommend to everyone. I have used their perceptions in my life today, as well.

THIS SERIES IS OUTSTANDING. I FOUND MYSELF THINKING OF THESE 11 WOMEN AND WHAT CHILDREN BELONGED TO WHO WHEN I COULDN'T SLEEP. I WOULD REVIEW THE HAPPENINGS OF EACH FAMILY. I HAVE NEVER HAD A STORY AFFECT ME THE WAY THIS SERIES DID. I'VE THOUGHT OF IT WHEN I HAD AN OBSTACLE IN MY LIFE.
