Zondervan Seasons Under Heaven, Times and Seasons

What does a life-threatening illness cost the neighbors of Cedar Circle? What joys can be hidden in life's greatest tragedies? Behind brightly lit windows and on front porches, marriages are tested and mended, hearts broken, hopes resurrected, dreams released and reformed, values and futures shaped, and faith rekindled...or found for the first time. Tory Sullivan struggles with the demands of motherhood and her desire for a career. An aspiring writer, she wonders whether she'll ever be able to develop her talent while raising two young children. But perhaps the problem isn't a matter of time, but of Tory. Cathy Flaherty is rediscovering the grins and groans of the dating game. The spunky single mother of three teenagers, she's also learning the urgency of instilling sound values in her children as they attend public school. Sylvia Bryan is an empty-nester. Now that her children are gone, she struggles with a gnawing lack of meaning. Her husband, Harry, wants to become a medical missionary. But for Sylvia, the best part of her life seems like nothing but a memory. Brenda Dodd faces an uncertain future. Her nine-year-old son is getting sicker, and there seems to be nothing they can do. It is every mother's nightmare-a child who will die unless he receives a heart transplant. As the women of Cedar Circle band together to save a dying child, they learn that each moment is precious in every season under heaven.

I purchased this book with a you will love it or your money back guarantee on the front. I read it in 1 day and gave it to a friend at Church. She stayed up until 3:00 in the morning and having to get up at 6:00 to teach school. She was upset just a little bit. She in turn gave it to someone and it went around our church to most of the women and they all loved it, just as I did. It was 2 years later that my book was returned to me. It is the best series book I have ever read. We all talked about the Cul-de-sac books and still do.

I read all 4 Seasons bks & they were great!! I had breast cancer 18 yr ago so the last 1 was kind of hard but they put so much meaning into the bks. I love to read good, clean, inspiration books. Thanks so much for providing them, especially in this day & times. God bless you all and I hope everyone will read these. I'm reading Sunroom now. Sharon

The Blackstock-LaHaye series of books are very good though some of the people are a little over the top non Christians. Still, the real-life events and the resulting faith exhibited in the books serve to make interesting and thought-provoking reading.

Although this isn't my favorite series ever, it's a must read for contemporary fiction lovers.

Great book! You are brought closely into the lives of the families in this cue de sac. The book beautifully protrays how God can use a tragic moment in one family and turn it into glorious opportunities for spiritual growth in all of us.
