lacciaMichiganAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A different but effective approach to piano.October 2, 2012lacciaMichiganAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Our teenage daughter is dyslexic and was having trouble reading notes but really wanted to learn to play piano. Her teacher then started her on "Piano for Quitters" by Mark Almond. She moved quickly through that course and on to his second course "Piano for Life." We are very pleased with this approach and would highly recommend it for someone who desires to play the piano but struggles with reading music. We find it helps having a piano teacher but you could teacher yourself at home if you go about it slowly and methodically.

They do it on their own and they are enjoying it and making quick progress. It is fun and rewarding. My 6 year old is picking it up too just by being around it.
I would recommend this program. It is saving us alot of money on lessons for now. -
NINA5 Stars Out Of 5Piano for life?there's nothing like it!!January 24, 2018NINAQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I've had the pleasure of having this series in my possession for quite some time and I know that there is nothing better on the market for learning how to master the piano like PFL. My nine year old son was playing for only 2 months when someone asked how long he had been playing. They were shocked to find that he had no prior lessons, could not read music; yet his sounds were that of a seasoned, classically trained pianist.
There are many ways of teaching the art of playing piano, but I believe there is a TRUE method of instruction. The developer of this series, Mark Almond, has happened upon the TRUE. Music is, originally of a heavenly origin and this method of instruction impacts the physical, mental as well as the spiritual dimensions of music. You do not only learn to play music, but you also learn to speak it, feel it and create it and all in a way that is not laborious or boring. I don't believe it's an exaggeration to say" you'll not find a more complete system of learning (for piano) than that of Piano For Life!" -

Mary Swanson5 Stars Out Of 5October 15, 2008Mary SwansonI'm a Piano Teacher that was introduced to "Piano for Quitters" & "Piano for Life" by one of my Piano Students. I was impressed by Mark Almond's simplistic improvising approach using Chords & Harmony. I currently have a new Adult Student that took lessons as a kid, but as an Adult wanted to do more Improvising with Chords & these DVD's were a "Perfect Match" for her. She can spend hours watching/playing with the DVD's & I can have fun working with her in Piano Lessons. She liked the DVD's so much she bought 4 more.
