Work to improve students' reading comprehension skills through Evan-Moor's targeted, daily practice activities. Each week's teacher page features a day-by-day lesson with directions and semi-scripted questions, as well as the main focus strategy and skill listed at the top of the page. Daily worksheets for students include either a fiction or non-fiction passage followed by multiple-choice skill practice questions and an open-ended strategy practice question. The first six weeks review the basic strategies before weeks 7-30 move on to multiple skills.

Students will learn a variety of comprehension skills and strategies throughout the year, including cause & effect, fact & opinion, main idea, details, compare & contrast, sequencing, making inferences, prediction, character, setting, visual information, and more.
