With a 200-year history, the Constitution isn't an easy document to teach, never mind navigating the legal language it uses. Beginning with the historical context which created the Constitution, and moving through time to how it affects and serves us in our lives today, students will work through the actual text of the constitution with point-by-point explanations. Instructional sheets provide the lesson for students to read, and are followed by short answer questions, multiple choice, true/false, word search, and other exercises. 171 perforated, reproducible pages, softcover. Answer key included. 2nd Edition. Grades 5-8.

I am currently using this book in a homeschool co-op. We are using the book for 20 one hour classes and still will not be able to complete it all. It goes through the Constitution line by line. We spent 12 weeks just learning the Declaration of Independence, The Preamble and Article I. I highly recommend this book if you really want your children to learn the Constitution instead of just certain talking points.
