This is an excellant history of Israel and America's part that it has played and the consequence, both pro and con. It also gives a comprehesive view of the Jews and the part they played in the forming of our nation. This is the best sweeping overview of modern Israel I have read to date. It also brings in what is more important, that God is involved and will continue to be engaged in the Nation of Israel and the nations as they interact wit them. A must read.

"I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." Genesis 12:3 is the key verse for this incredibly enlightening book. The author, John McTernan, brilliantly takes current events happening in the United States and correlates them with what is happening in our relationship with Israel.
You do not have to take the authors word for the connection. You will find ample examples of newspaper articles and television reports to support the sometimes eerie correlation. A section on page 188 states, "The connection between the United States government pressuring Israel to destroy twenty-five settlements on the covenant land and Katrina’s destruction is obvious."
This is followed with a timeline and list of similarities between the two events. The author presents other examples of our wrongful treatment of Israel. These examples are then matched with different difficulties the United States encountered. Did you know that on March 2, 1997 Arafat met with then President Clinton and the same day awesome tornado storms caused tremendous damage and flooding in five states? This and many more correlation’s can be found in this exciting book.

A book to help clarify the winding road with sign posts as we Christians continue to occupy. Presently, conflicts between Israel and America and America's ungodliness CONTINUE to unfold to the minute decision from the President and his cabinet with natural catastrophes, economic upheavals, wars and much more too long to list here.Truly an interesting read.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in prophecy. I read the whole book in five days. I was shocked when I read all the correlations between natural disasters and other things that have happened at the exact time or near the time the US is pressuring Israel to give up land. Too many things have happened to be just a coidence. If anyone has ever doubted that God has His hands in the affairs that affect Israel, I encourage you to read this book. You will never have any doubts again.Mary Jo Illuzzi

I have bought a few of these books and handed them out. What a good review of past history and the results of things we have done in support of Israel------also reaping the results where we didn't support Israel. Israel is the apple of God's eye----He wants them to keep the land He had promised to them.I feel if America turns their back on Israel that we will have judgement upon us. We read in the Old Testament that nations---and even the nation of Israel itself if they forgot the Lord, that there was punishment. We can expect no different today.Time is short. We must do all we can in support of Israel.

McTernan has an interesting premise that we are being judged by God for some of what we are pressuring Israel to do, namely establish a two state policy and divide Jerusalem. The relationship of hurricanes to moves made by our government do seem to be more than just coincidence and McTernan makes for a forceful argument that we need to change our position. I would advise our State Department to read it.
