Penguin Putnam Inc. The Wedding Promise, Angel Island Series #2
Liza's bed-and-breakfast is finally open, and her first big event looks like it just might all come together. Then, on the day of the wedding, a storm rolls in--and then the groom is nowhere to be found. Liza realizes that it will take nothing short of a miracle to make this wedding a success. But then again, this is Angel Island, where love and faith are abundant, and often that's miracle enough.

I really liked the first Angel Island book and this sequel is very good also. You can really relate to the characters. I could hardly wait to read the next sequel.

I really enjoy island, beach, quaint living books. This book had it all with hospitality and excitement as well. I can't wait for #3!

This is the kind of book you pick up on a rainy day and enjoy. It is a quick read, but it is an enjoyable fun read. It is a light read and I suggest you read the other books in the series. It is fun trying to decide just who Claire is.

I throughly enjoy reading Thomas Kinkade and Katherine Spencer book, they seem to make a great team....I hope Ms. Spencer continues with these books.

Loved the Cape Light series and now excited to get to know new characters in the Angel Inn Series - The Wedding Promise is a Christmas gift....shhh..Looking forward to reading it as soon as I rip off the wrapping paper and look surprised!

Charming, romantic, and very interesting with lots if surprises along the way. It doesn't have a strong spiritual content, but then his books never do, but it is clean and uplifting. A peaceful & relaxing setting for these characters lives to mix and mingle. Some of our old favorites from Cape Light joined in the adventures this time. A great story, and a delicious recipe from the famous Inn to top it off. Suitable reading for young and old alike.

Any Thomas Kinkade book is fabulous. I've read each one in both series and they are really well written and very entertaining. Keeps you hanging on each word to see what happens. Good values and you don't have to worry about content that would be objectionable. All very good without being preachy.

Good story line to hold interest to the finish. I liked the details of the wedding planning. It was as if I was the one doing the job. I could picature the frustration of the bride and the groom with the brides mother!

The Wedding Promise by Thomas Kinkade and Katherine Spencer is the second installment in their Angel Island series, which follows right on the heels of their Cape Light novels. This is a quick and easy-to-read story that draws the reader into its pleasant setting.
Liza Martin is just getting her feet on the ground in her plans to bring The Inn at Angel Island back up to the previous state of the time when her aunt and uncle ran it, when she is approached by a young lady who has her heart set on getting married at the inn. Initially determined to decline the request to handle the wedding, Liza decides to give it a try but ends up facing all kinds of hurdles in pulling off this first major event of her new career. On the personal front, Liza finds herself falling for Daniel, the very desirable handyman who is helping her with renovations. Things get very confusing in that arena as Daniel sends mixed signals about his interest in Liza and is unwilling to open up and share his secrets.
I enjoyed this book, as I did the first in this series and the previous series. However, for much of the book, the plot seems to move very slowly, and I felt it was bogged down in details rather than anything that really moved the story along.

This is a wonderful addition to the series I can't wait until the next one is published. The writer makes you feel as through you were a guest on Angel Island and the characters in the book are you friends.

Once again a heartwarming story of relationships and the everyday challenges of real life worked out/lived out in the light of God's Word. Great for your teen or your grandmother and a lovely book to lose yourself in the story on a spring/summer day. Took two evenings to read and am now waiting for the next book!
