In December of 2008, amidst the fear and worry of her two sons being shipped off to war--one to Iraq, the other to Afghanistan--River Jordan reluctantly made a single New Year's resolution--to pray for a stranger every day. The days that followed and the amazing stories that unfolded along the way changed Jordan in ways she could never have anticipated.

An inspiring book.
Date:January 3, 2012
I read an article in a magazine about the book. I got the book for Christmas. I have really enjoyed the book so far. It has challenged me to do the same. Pray for a stranger everyday. I haven't finished the book yet, but will finish it and will recommend it to friends. I will get a copy to donate to my church library. Thanks for a great read

"Same Kind of Different as Me" meets "Prayer Does It Make Any Difference." River Jordan has written a wonderful memoir about little prayers that usher in the presence of God. If you've ever thought that prayer didn't matter, read this book. If God ever nudged you to prayer for a stranger and you brushed it off, read this book. If you're looking for a simple way to share your faith, this is the book for you.
