Apologia is academically challenging yet delivers the material in such a way that it is easy to understand and fun to learn. Most experiments are done with typical household items. Many times I have told my kids that "I never got to do that kind of cool stuff in my science class when I was a kid." Apologia is the way to go!

The kit came in good condition. We have not reached a dissection yet so cannot review long term quality of the specimens but I am glad it came with all the necessary supplies.

This dissection kit is excellent. The tools are well made from good quality stainless steel, and should last indefinitely. The scalpels and scissors are sharp, and the tweezers match up nicely at the tips and are not flimsy. The pins are strong and fasten the specimens down with ease. This is a good investment if you have several children that need to go through the biology course. The blue pad and dissection pan are well constructed, and easy to clean. The specimens are quite large and easy to dissect. The odor of the specimens was minimal and fairly tolerable - nothing even close to the stench I endured during high school. We learned much from dissecting the specimens, and I feel the price of this kit is well worth every penny. I homeschool 4 children - each will have to take Biology (over a span of 10 years). This kit should easily last with repeated use.

I rated this a four because I haven't opened the specimens yet. I was glad that the descriptions were accurate. The specimens are trully the size that is advertised. We got all the tools and the tray. Everything looks great. Just hope I can dissect with the children!!

I love the dissecting kit I ordered for my high school daughter. When she got into Biology thats the 1st thing she wanted. Everything we needed was with the kit, we received it within 4 days of ordering which was great. I am a home school mom of 2 girls and really love the products I get from this company.
