Roy Ingle5 Stars Out Of 5October 12, 2002Roy IngleThis is one of the best "compact" volumes for Greek Word studies available. This book is easy to follow and the Greek is transliterated into English for those who do not know Greek. The book traces both the Biblical usage of the Greek word and also the secular usage of the Greek word and in a few instances, the Latin equivalence of the word. This is very helpful for those dealing with in-depth word studies from the NT.This is a must have for all serious Bible students and teachers of the Word of God.

Scott4 Stars Out Of 5June 25, 2009ScottI will give this a great review for content. However it is a bit awkward to use, kind of jumpy in thought to me. However, it is standard among theologians & some I have found some great nuggets of truth in it. Some of the best tools come from German theologians. I give it a 4 out of 5.

Tsialas Vasileios3 Stars Out Of 5October 4, 2007Tsialas VasileiosOf course, if someone doesnt want to pay for the big Kittel, the abridged volume is a good solution, so that he may have a general idea about the background of the Greek Biblical words. But sometimes you feel that it is a mere oversimplified, cloudy synopsis of the big Kittel in which you always feel anxious that something important may have been omitted. And this is true, since in my personal use of the abridged Kittel I found, many times, important things to have been disappeared. On the contrary, when I compare little Kittel with the Exegetical Dictionary of the New Testament, always the second is proved better, having more specific and clear things to say, without taking much space. Now I have entirely stopped using little Kittel. Big Kittel is the best of its kind and the smaller Exegetical Dictionary of the New Testament comes second.

Roymond3 Stars Out Of 5Unfortunately lackingMarch 5, 2023RoymondOne would expect that a dictionary of the New Testament, since it was written ion Greek, would actually use the Greek alphabet for writing Greek words, but everything is transliterated into English, which makes searching the PDF version as well as the print version harder that it needs to be.
That said, once a word is found this isn't too bad at all in giving some illumination.
