Avoid a "revolving door" syndrome by nurturing Biblical Church Growth. Shunning one-size-fits-all approaches that often lend only temporary "success," ministry professor and church consultant Gary McIntosh points to effective evangelism as the basis for increasing membership. Drawing on biblical models, current statistics, and professional experience, he offers 10 principles for both large and small congregations to build strong foundations for sustained vitality.

Without a doubt, THE finest book on church growth (true church growth) I've ever read. This is not a "methods" book designed to give you the latest ideas but a "foundations" book outlining 9 key "principles" that must be evident in ANY method you use to see real, sustained growth. In each chapter, McIntosh gives you some questions designed to spur your own ideas from each principle. Whether your service is "traditional", "contemporary" or anything in between, this book will help you take a good look at what you're doing and see if it really has any lasting meaning for the growth of God's kingdom and praising His wonderful name. This, along with Steve Rummage's book on "Planning your Preaching" are the two best books I've read in a long, long time. Pick this one up...
