I had been constantly searching for a solid devotional book post-high school graduation. Currently in that transitional phase from ending my teens to beginning my young womanhood, the teen devotionals and women devotionals stood at the extreme ends of the scale compared to what I needed in the middle. DiMarco writes with the Holy Spirit on her side; I cannot wait to read each page daily (even a few times to fully comprehend the verse (s) ). A sure necessity for any girl just transitioning in her life from teen-hood to young womanhood.

Review 2 for Devotions for the God Girl: A 365 Day Journey - eBook
Bought this for my 6th grade daughter to read at night before bed. She really likes it and it causes her to think and ask questions. She also refers to the bible to look up the verse. I love that she's doing this. It's great for her age and older.

This devotional can be used by mature women to share with younger women in Bible Study or given as a gift. The language and subject matter are contemporary and relative to the issues young women are confronted with on a daily basis. This devotional will be an encouragement to both young women and mature women, as we endeavor to live godly lives and strive to be God's girls.

Review 5 for Devotions for the God Girl: A 365 Day Journey - eBook
This was given to my 12 yr old step-daughter who was converted to Mormonism almost three years ago. We gave this to her with the hopes of her holding onto her salvation and biblical beliefs. She was so very impressionable during this time so we hope for this to be a way to keep our path in our relationship open.

Review 8 for Devotions for the God Girl: A 365 Day Journey - eBook
This devotional book for teen girls has 365 excellent daily reminders of how to grow into the woman the Lord wants you to be. The days are numbered and not dated, which makes this a perfect book to give any time of the year. You can begin reading this today, on the first of the year or whenever you want to start it.
Each devotion starts with a verse and then goes into a one page explanation of how that verse can help you become a better Christian. Although the author has written this for teens girls all woman can learn from these thought-provoking devotions.
This book is worth buying for any teen girl. I found the devotions to be easy to read and filled with great spiritual teachings. The examples were relevant and the advice exceptional.
I was given this book by christianreviewofbooks.com to review.

Review 9 for Devotions for the God Girl: A 365 Day Journey - eBook
My fourteen year-old daughter was looking for a book as a springboard for her time with the Lord each day. This has been an excellent devotional for her. It comes from a sincere perspective and deals with issues common to a teen-age girl--specifically the importance of her finding herself first in God alone. It is inspirational and encouraging in its tone without being hyped. I especially like that it comes from the perspective that a teen can be spoken to as a reasonable, thinking person--not someone who has to be communicate to in a perceived "cool lingo," where the message of each devotion is lost in the author's trying too hard to sound like a teenager.

Review 12 for Devotions for the God Girl: A 365 Day Journey - eBook
I noticed a couple themes running through this book. One was that she really is challenging girls to adjust their way of thinking, their worldview. It's not just encouraging a change of actions, but a change of mindset. This is seen especially in her comments on suffering - when things aren't going the way you want, use it as a chance to grow in your faith, rather than whine or lose faith. She even goes so far in one lesson as to say that, while there can be chemical imbalances that can affect depression, "the depressed mind is not trusting God to be who He says He is or to do what He says He will do". This is the extreme statement, but the general idea that wallowing in pity parties or complaining or whining or arguing is not pleasing to God. Hailey DiMarco has a reputation for presenting information teen girls need to hear, in such a way that they will listen. This is part of a whole movement she has started - a website, journal, etc, challenging teen girls to be "God Girls".

Review 13 for Devotions for the God Girl: A 365 Day Journey - eBook
One of the things that makes this devotional so great is that there are 365 days in it, so it will last you the entire year. As much as my daughter liked the last devotional she went through, there were only 40 days - so this one has a lot of staying power. The devotions are short enough to fit into your schedule but deep enough to make you think. Hayley DiMarco has been making her mark in the 14-18 year old age group, she continues that with this great new devotional!
