I was very impressed with the story line being a vet (although an older cold war one) I would be interested in the series if there is one along the same lines.

I read Anne's book Fire and Ash first and it was wonderful so I immediately bought a few of her other books. So far I have not been disappointed in any of them. Kill Shot was gripping, striking and amazingly full of intrigue. It's definitely a book that I couldn't put down - and one I'm going to read again and again.

This book, the first in a new series, was recommended by a friend at my church. I’m so glad I purchased it. I loved it! Kill Shot is a good representation of what so many of our returning veterans are dealing with returning to civilian life. Kory is a wonderful character. Well developed and easy to fall in love with. All the characters were. The story was suspenseful and there is a sweet romance, along with a wonderful message of faith, tied in. I love finding new Christian authors to add to my reading list and Anne Patrick is now at the top of my list. Can’t wait to read more of her books!

I normally don’t read Christian suspense novels but I’m glad I downloaded this one. Anne Patrick has penned an excellent book. Inspirational romance is difficult to pull off without sounding contrived or sappy. Ms Patrick avoids that problem by simply writing a great story. She weaves the points of view of the two main characters seamlessly and runs the reader through the full gambit of emotions from start to finish. The characters are vibrant and real; the plot is smooth and the finish is strong. I can honestly say that this book far surpassed my expectations.

This is the 1st book by this author. I liked it but did not love it as much as I expected. I bought several E-books by this author at the same time, based on reviews, but have not read the others yet. This book is good, but easy to put down to finish later. For me, a great book is one I do not want to put down until I finish the book. I am interested to see if her other books have a more "edgy" feel.

I absolutely loved this book and have read nearly all of Anne Patricks books now. Plenty of suspense, and good detail throughout.
Can't wait to see what she comes out with next.

Kill Shot is another great read by Anne Patrick. I love her original plots and realistic characters who are so easy to fall in love with. She did an excellent job with Kory's PTSD and her spiritual struggles. And I loved the interaction between her and Sean. Looking forward to the next one!

I love romantic suspense and this author can deliver! I haven't read any of her other works but I intend to. She did an excellent job handling Kory's struggles with PTSD and damaged faith. This is a great opening to the series and I'm looking forward to reading the next one.

Kill Shot was a story that totally engrossed me! From the start, Anne Patrick grabs you and doesn't let go until the last page. There was great interaction between these real-life characters and my heart really ached for Kory as she struggled with the transition from Army life to civilian life. I found this story very realistic of the difficulties our brave soldiers go through. And the suspense of who would want Kory dead was excellent. I highly recommend Kill Shot and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Review 14 for Wounded Heroes Book One: Kill Shot - eBook
Anne Patrick has fast become one of my favorite authors. I have read every book Christian Book Club offers in ebooks plus any others I could get my hands on. I preordered this book as soon as I saw it. It amazes me with so many thrillers out there she has the ability to come up with so many fresh and new ideas. This book kept me up until 4 in the morning. I refused to put it down until I finished. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

I am a new fan of Anne Patrick! She writes about great characters, who have flaws like the rest of us. Can't wait for the next in the series. I am a big fan of Dee Henderson, Irene Hannon and Lynette Eason. Anne Patrick ranks right up there with the best.

If you enjoy Dee Henderson, Irene Hannon, and Lynette Eason you'll enjoy books by Anne Patrick. She's a wonderful storyteller with the amazing ability to combine suspense, romance and inspiration with ease. Kill shot is no exception. Kory Wagner is struggling with PTSD. The sights and sounds of war have also tarnished her faith and she no longer feels comfortable in the house of the Lord. On top of all that someone has killed her sister and they now have their sights on Kory. Will Sean, the handsome sheriff, be able to keep her alive and will her lack of faith destroy any chances of a future between them. You'll have to buy Kill Shot to find out. I highly recommend it!

I was unfamiliar with Ann Patrick. I read Kill Shot on a whim. I was spell bound with it and read it in one night. Since then I have read every one of Ann Patrick's books I can find. All have held my attenion and held me in suspense. Why would anyone want to harm a returning war hero or a respected judge or destroy a young widow's successful ranch? Check her books out for an enjoyable read. God's love and direction are clearly explained in each book.
