B&H Books Why I Am a Baptist

In light of the current identity crisis facing Baptists today, editors Nettles and Moore offer a volume of testimonies from contemporary Baptists expounding on that very question--Why I Am A Baptist. Taking a more objective approach than offered in earlier books, this book models a more doctrine-oriented approach, explaining Baptist life on the basis of historical tenets of the Christian faith worked out in practice.

Dr. Tom Nettles and Russell D. Moore have put together a wonderful volume that reveals the true glue that binds people together as Baptists and that is theological conviction. The book contains essays from a veritable "who's who" of conservative Baptists. This includes contributers from the U.S. but also around the world. It includes pastors and scholars of a variety of conservative theological stripes. I implore all Baptists to read this book and rejoice with me at how blessed we are to be Baptists. I would also encourage all non-Baptists to read this volume for an honest explanation of the convictional glue that holds together the people called Baptists.
