This book is an amazing precursor to the book "The King James Only Controversy" by James R. White. I will highly recommend this to my friends and family. This is a MUST have for every Christian's library! :-)

WyoBibleReaderWyomingAge: Over 65Gender: Male4 Stars Out Of 5Book Helps Clarify DebateSeptember 8, 2016WyoBibleReaderWyomingAge: Over 65Gender: MaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5I agree with the first two reviews on a couple of points, but have nothing against the KJV translation as I use it from time to time. May I add that I came into contact with a "King James Only" couple of several years ago. Their stanch stand for the KJV surprised me, as they essentially condemned me and the translation I was using as heretical, which prompted me to do some of my own research. The couple was totally ignorant of the history of the English Bible but also of textual criticism. This book is a great companion to the book " The King James Only Controversy" by James R. White. Although I must admit Mr. White's book is easier to understand. I now have several books on textual criticism as well as the NT master texts of the TR and of Westcott and Hort. I also have 30+ translations from Wycliffe's Bible of 1382 to several modern translations. It is sad that so-called Christians can be so narrow-minded and condemnful as they are going against the very scriptures which they are suppose to be following.

Joe1 Stars Out Of 5October 10, 2009JoeThis book is very hard to understand unless you have a phd in english. It is not written to be easily understood. It was kinda disappointing. The parts that I did understand were good though, just far and few between. Unfortunately this is the only book written that explains the differences in the available greek texts.
