Jossey-Bass Missional Renaissance: Changing the Scorecard for the Church

Three critical shifts are chronicled as the indications of a renaissance in thinking and praxis in missional church leadership: from internally-focused to externally-focused dynamic, from program development to people development, and from churchcentric leadership to community-engaged leadership. Filled with discussion and illustrations about what it means to truly become a missional congregation.

This book single handily has changed my ministry as a church pastor. It is literally changing the game. I have used it effectively in two churches now to move us into God's preferred future. My whole team has read it and it gets people asking the right questions. The book has been especially effective in helping my smaller congregations become vital inside and influential outside the walls.

This book is an excellent treatment of the need for churches to become outward-focused and involved in their communities. It addresses the tendency to focus on only the events that are occurring within the four walls of the church building. I recommend it to all church leaders to re-focus in a Biblical, missional direction.
