I used this book for my 6 year old, in our homeschool. It is a great way to begin introducing them to the basics of the home. She loved learning how to use the toaster and still makes us cinnamon toast some mornings.

I was eager to get this book. Only issue was it is also published under the title of home ec for girls. We received that copy and I had to spend a great deal of time explaining that to our son. He is very interested in house work so this book provides clear step by step instructions.

I was a bit thrown back by the simplicity of this book. I was actually looking for one for junior high age. It is very nice for homeschoolers about 2nd - 3rd grade.
