The apocryphal texts are not given the same weight as those that were included in the canon; nevertheless, there is much valuable background material here for interpreting ancient times. Not a must have, but nevertheless an interesting addition to have in your library. I can understand why some of the books where left out but on that same note there are some books that could have been put in the canon and only added to what is already the greatest book ever written.
