The Darwinian theory of origins, although rejected by many evangelical Christians, has still found its way into creation theology. The concept of evolutionary creationism has watered down much of the Bible's teaching in order to reconcile with popular tenets of secular science. The whole controversy swirls around the age of the universe. Dr. Kurt Wise, Professor of Science and Theology and Director of the Center for Science and Theology at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, shows from solid biblical teachings and scientific confirmation why a young universe makes more sense than an old universe. Beginning with God and His Word as the standard, Wise demonstrates how the biblical witness teaches that the age of the universe is not as old as secular scientists would contend. He also demonstrates how all issues raised by evolutionists can be answered not only by the Bible, but also by scientific data and research nailing shut macroevolution's coffin.

Excellent book that covers all of the basics of the origins debate from one of the leaders of origins research. It wets the appetite to learn more about the debate between creation and evolution. However, most of all, it gives us insight into the amazing Creator and sparks a love and awe for His creation and love for mankind. A well-articulated overview and a relatively easy to understand book, not just for the science-minded. Buy this book.
