To see the glory of Christ is one of the greatest privileges that a Christian can enjoy. Anyone who does not see his glory in this world, will not see his glory in heaven, and no one should look for anything in heaven that he has not experienced in this life. Just as looking directly into the sun darkens our vision, so Christ's heavenly splendor is too brilliant for our mind's eye, but in seeing it by faith, we are prepared for heaven. In his immense essence, the infinite God is invisible to our finite human eyes, and will remain so for eternity. Only "in the face of Jesus Christ" can we see God and be filled with peace and rest. Read this book, and by his Word and Spirit God may give you such a sense of his uncreated glory, blazing forth in Christ, that you will be satisfied and filled with joy.

Review 2 for Glory of Christ: A Puritan's View on the Beauty of the Saviour

READ THIS BOOK!!! BUY IT, BUY IT NOW!!! I am only a young, lay person, but with much meditation I can see what Owen is talking about. No matter who you are, if you profess to believe in Christ Jesus, you need to read this! ~Oh how my heart longs to hear every Pastor preach about the Glory of Christ like how Owen wrote about it. How I long to see EVERYONE living life this way, with Christ One and Only in their life, seeking out His Glory day by day.~ Along with spending daily time alone with God, and reading His Word, you should also pick up this book, and read it too. It is well worth your time, and thought.

Review 3 for Glory of Christ: A Puritan's View on the Beauty of the Saviour

Vintage, rich, classic Owen; the depth of relationship he so clearly had with the Lord made me literally jealous as I read this wonderful book. With so much "surface stuff" out there today on Christ, this book paints a beautiful, full and worshipful picture of Jesus, reminding us He is to be worshipped and hallowed in His Divine Glory and sacrificial manhood. Read slowly, and mix with much meditation, thanks, and worship!
