Every since first published, A Scientific Investigation of the Old Testament has been a benefit to conservative students of the Old Testament. It has provided for them a scholarly answer to many of the scholarly attacks on the Old Testament. For several years, however, the work has been out of print and almost unobtainable. The reader will be impressed with the fact that practically none of Dr. Wilson's conclusions has been changed. Most of the new information has served to strengthen conclusions which were reached by the author. New discoveries further substantiate and establish the trueness of the Old Testament.

Robert Dick Wilson (1856-1930) was an American linguist and Presbyterian scholar who made major contributions in verifying the reliability of the Hebrew Bible. He taught for many years at Princeton Theological Seminary before leaving to conclude his life by helping found Westminster Theological Seminary.
