I wish I had discovered this series a few years ago---I would have used them every year for home schooling in Jr. High and High School. The study of Luke and Acts offers a nice balance of academic study of the Word and personal application. The daily questions require honest interaction with the Scripture text and the commentary-like sections at the end of each lesson add helpful background and insight. The author also suggests the student keep a personal journal (unread by others unless they want to share), which helps make it feel like more than another study subject. The workbook is well written, doesn't "talk down" to the student but is still challenging and thought-provoking. My only complaint is minor: the cover art doesn't match the age-level of the text (too juvenile), so it's a little misleading, and caused me to hesitate. Glad I looked past the cover; this study is a great find.

I just came across these study books a week ago, just now started in studying "Faith at Work". in this study I am finding out a little more about Paul and why he was as he used to be and how he became what he is. Something we all fit into this same category, and should take it to heart, I know I did. It is now coming to the season of December 25th, this is the time all should read Luke all the way to the end to find out when Christ was born. He was conceived on Dec 25th, the key word here is Abia. it's a date June 19.
