Now in its 108th year, Boyd's Commentary for the Sunday School provides a scholarly orthodox exposition of the Scriptures based on the ISSL (International Uniform Sunday School Lesson) outlines. Students of the Word of God will grow in knowledge verse-by-verse and line-by-line to help pastors, deacons, teachers and lay people prepare and study for Sunday School lessons. This format presents the KJV and NIV translations in parallel for easy reference and comparison. Each unit is followed by "Lesson Setting" providing geographical and historical context. Thirdly, "Exposition" presents thorough explanation and theological issues in the text. Two final segments illustrate the significance to our daily lives as believer in "Lesson Applied" and finally, "Let's Talk About It" asks interpretive questions and provides thoughtful insights for further reflection. Softcover,320 pages. A CD-ROM is included containing supplemental materials. Text is large print.

I love the two scripture readings KJV and NIV. It's a great commentary. My cousin, Wyndia, introduced the Boyd Commentary to me, and I've shared the information of it with a friend.
