This book has impacted everyones life that has read it, including my children & grandchildren. I am sending this copy to my son in Iraq, because of lighting I bought the large print. Thank God for inspiring Rick Warren!!!!!

I've only read about half the book to date, but so far I think it is a great book. If I'm as impressed with rest of the book as I am with the first half, I will order more books for family and friends.

The Purpose Driven Life is NOT a study BIBLE; it is a Bible STUDY. People seem to over-react to this material, which simply puts God's principles for living into conversational language.The MESSAGE Bible does the same thing, yet people over-react to it also, as not a REAL Bible. Get a GRIP!We need to remember our beloved Scriptures were written as historical records and as many individual LETTERS to people, to encourage, admonish and teach. In the same way, we today can gain a closer relationship with our Savior by reading His LETTERS to us, or his Message, or how to have a Purpose Driven Life. God will not close Heaven's gates to any who did not use the original King James. For heaven's sake. If we want to be legalistic, we should all learn Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic!Jesus Christ Controls History, and only He will Judge.

No doubt the Purpose Driven Life is a good book, but I personally think it's being taken way to far. I think Charles Stanley could have summed up everything on one hour. The book is good, but I think they're going way too commercial when they offer excerpt, cards, ......... Also, the 40 days of purpose campaign doens't really thrill me much. After watching the video, I can see why my pastor wondered away from the curriculum & wrote his own. Good book, just too commercial, & a little too liberal.
