Tate Publishing A Knight's Quest: A Journey to Manhood

Follow the adventures of a young knight who proves his courage and loyalty by acquiring precious stones to be placed in the king's crown. Written into this medieval tale are subtle yet powerful spiritual applications. Judan, the brave knight, battles the "sarkons," and the evil Acuza to bring honor to his king. With each victory, life lessons are learned. Recommended for ages 9 and up.

Although this was written by a father for his 18 year old son, I think it is very appropriate for younger boys. The book was a very easy read with many sound Biblical principles. As you follow this new knight on his quests, you learn about love, compassion, the Holy Spirit, temptation, following and trusting in God's word and the importance of having fellow believers in your life. The story makes it clear that the Christian walk is not always easy and that trial will come. It very successfully explains that we will all stumble in our attempt to serve our King and a repentant heart brings about forgiveness and redemption. We are planning on doing a book study with our boys with this book and I look forward to seeing their growth as young men.
