Customer Reviews for Christian Liberty Press Phonics Flashcards & Charts, Primary Levels

Christian Liberty Press Phonics Flashcards & Charts, Primary Levels

The phonics flashcards and charts introduce and drill the sounds of the letters throughout the year. Special information is also printed on the back of some of the cards to help students understand consonant blends. Charts cover various rules (i.e. "short vowel o words", "Short Vowel words that end in ck"), while the flashcards help to introduce the upper-case and lower-case letters of the alphabet as well as the sounds they make. Cardstock.

This is not what I expected it would be. I have been looking for a new/different way to help my struggling reader and this was not help as we already have simular things. I have been using this with my kindergartener though so at least it's not going to waste on a shelf!

If you are going to use this reading program, I do suggest using these cards. As other reviewers have stated, they are made of card stock and after repeated usage the corners begin to curl. Though, I do no recommend laminating them unless you plan to use the same set with younger children. Our set has held up to the rigors of one active child. I do suggest supplementing the set with the explode the code flash card set and a sight reading card set....and MOST DEFINITELY get the reader books which accompany this program!!

While you cannot beat the price, I have found these to be largely unecessary. They would be great for a child who needs a little extra practice.

Very nifty and worth the money. I recommend having them laminated as the cardstock, like any cardstock, will curl with repeated use.
