In DVD #5, Buck Denver and cast take us through the next books of the Bible: 1 and 2 Samuel. The two episodes focus on three of the most influential kings of Israel (Saul, David, and Solomon). And the Tricky Bits section defines the Trinity (after we learn that the Spirit of the Lord fell upon David). The DVD highlights God's promise to David and how the promise impacts the salvation story. We also see what happens when David (and the other kings) sin against God. Kids learn that there are consequences for sin! Bonus short: "The Boy Who Cried Melon Monkey," A lesson about honesty. Approximate running time: 60 minutes.

My kids (6 & 5) loved this! Good information, friendly format. The kids really thought it was funny when the Bible story switched David & Goliath to Luke Skywalker David v Darth Vader Goliath! They totally got that it was *pretend* and thought it was a really funny comparison!
