When we bought the first 4 books, I proofed them for my kids. Now I read them because they're fun for me too!

This book is probably the "scariest" so far but still not scary. The authors do not intend for their books to be characterized as scary. They intend for them to be interesting, exciting, adventurous and have biblical truths throughout them. I love how they weave unsaved characters into the plot and how the twins struggle with their testimony. Eventually, the twins stop struggling and then we see what it looks like for them to be picked on, laughed at and even shunned. In other words, we - parents and kids, get to see what it means to want to follow God's will, struggle with it, see the reaction from unsaved people and then see how it all works out for God's glory. I know, I know, these are fictional characters in fictional plots but don't you already do "what if" scenarios with your kids? If you don't, these books can be great conversation starters and the material is always appropriate. Get ready for some good discussions with your kids.

I homeschool and don't intend for my children to be in a public school situation. However, for those people who have no other choice for their kids, this series is a great "friend" to those kids in public school - especially junior high!

This book is so good! I like the part where Bryce gets stuck in the hidden passageway. I've read book # 15, and this is almost as good as book #15.

This book wasn't my favorite of the series, partly because it had a really spooky setting. I still rate it a three 1/2, because I love the red rock series so much. I just guess the story line seemed unreal to me.
