With each book I read by Christian author Miralee Ferrell, I become a bigger fan! FINDING JEENA was an emotional yet enjoyable read for me. The story pulled me in and I was eager to see what happened next. The messages of hope and salvation were presented very well, and clearly shows what the Lord can do. I highly recommend this book, and must admit I was sorry when I reached the end. Five stars!

I love history and archeology so have enjoyed reading all of Miralee Ferrell's books; but surprisingly there was something about "Finding Jeena" that totally grabbed me. While it is not set in the old west, "Finding Jeena" is hands down, my favorite of Miralee's books! Miralee Ferrell is a very talented writer with an adept ability to weave interesting plots and to pull the reader into the story. I highly recommend this book.

I enjoy Mrs. Ferrell's stories more with each book she writes. This one, Finding Jeena, is a very believable story with a lovable character at the forefront. It will show you that no matter what you have, it can be taken away or lost and that God is your one salvation in all of it. I was sorry to see the book end as I wanted to read on and see what happens to some of the other characters. I can certainly hope there will be another book to follow up on this one.

I enjoyed the story and appreciated the lessons. Many people seem to think that they can live as they please, profess to be Christians, and what they do affects no one else. Quite untrue, particularly with our children. Jeena had a miserable childhood because of a father who spouted religion while constantly mistreating his wife and daughter. Consequently, she grew up and wanted nothing to do with Christianity. She still maintained certain standards because she had a dear Grammie who loved the Lord and tried to help Jeena see the truth. Like so many who have a relatively safe, predictable, comfortable life, she had a judgmental attitude towards those who were down on their luck. Interestingly enough, we often hear a lot about the prejudices those who have plenty hold toward the have-nots, but we seldom hear anyone mention the prejudices of the have-nots. Jeena had the opportunity to see both sides of that coin. The author brings out some wonderful truths in this beautiful story of a woman who appears to have it all but suddenly faces the possibility of having nothing. As the story unfolds, it becomes increasingly clear she has placed her faith in all the wrong things, even to the point she feels there is no one she can trust. Will she learn to place her faith in the only One who can heal her past and make her future promising?

This is the sequel to Miralee Ferrells first novel, the widely acclaimed, The Other Daughter. Jeena Gregory was a character in that book, and deserved to have her own story told.Jeena had everything she could possibly hope for, and a new job that is the beginning of a promising career. But then Jeena overhears some talk between her boss and his secretary indicating illegal practices, and she questions the companys integrity. Soon Jeena finds herself without a job, broke, and homeless. Suddenly, she is confronted with her prejudicesand a God she had long forgotten.Miralee Ferrells prose, in every one of her books, is fresh and snappy. Add to that the well-plotted story of this book, along with wonderfully developed characters you cant forget, and you have all the makings of a great novel! Without giving anything away, I have to say I especially liked the way Miralee mapped out Jeenas spiritual journey. She takes us down to the nitty-gritty; the meat of the situation. If you liked The Other Daughter, you will certainly like Finding Jeena. I highly recommend It!
