Zondervan Leaving, Bailey Flanigan Series #1

The Bailey Flanigan series begins with Bailey leaving Bloomington for the adventure of a lifetime. She has won an audition for the ensemble of a Broadway musical in New York City.

She's determined to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but is she really ready to leave family and friends for the loneliness of the city? And what of Cody? His disappearance has her worried about their future and praying that their love can survive. In order to be closer to his mother in jail, Cody takes a coaching job in a small community outside Indianapolis. New friends, distance, and circumstances expose cracks in his relationship with Bailey Flanigan.

Reading quality Christian fiction as a way to relax is far better than watching most of the programming found on TV today.

This book is all about preparing to leave home to start out life in the real world as an adult. It reminds me the lyrics to a song, "it's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday". We see Bailey and the live she has, the life she is letting go of, in order to pursue her dream career. In the books to follow, we will see if Bailey makes good use of the opportunity of a lifetime, acting in a Broadway show.

Bailey Flanigan is a wonderful role model for young women today. I am so happy that Karen Kingsbury has given Bailey a series of her own. We have "watched" Bailey grow up though out several other series by Mrs. Kingsbury. Leaving is book #1 in the Bailey Flanigan Series and was well worth the wait. This book will touch the hearts of all mothers who are watching, waiting or have already seen there daughters grow up and leave home. It was wonderful to watch Bailey pray and listen to God's will for her life. The story line for Cody was also used to show his spiritual growth and the redeeming power of the Lord. I look forward to reading, Learning(book #2), Longing(book #3) and Loving(book #4) in this series.
I was great to see Landon and Ashley's story continue in this book also. This couple models a Christian marriage as it should be in a world gone crazy. Through many heartaches this family has grown and become even more faithful to the Lord. I am praying that these characters will have the happy ending I am hoping for, but then again, God is in charge and the story line will go His way.
Keep the books coming, Karen as you continue to let God use you to make a difference in this world through your writing. You have a fan for life.
I received this book from Zondervan for my honest review.

Either Ms. Kingsbury is not paying attention to her timelines in her books or there are editing problems. Also, there are some issues with your e-Book quality as far as layout is concerned. I have purchased several e-Books from you, and it seems that this is a consistent problem.

Karen Kingsbury is my favorite author. Leaving is such a great book that I couldn't put it down. I read the whole book in just 1 day and already can't wait for the rest of the series. I am team Cody! God has blessed Mrs. Kingsbury with a gift for writing. Her books can be used as reading books for homeschooling. Have a blessed day.

This book is another example of Karen kinsbury's excellent writing. When reading her books I know the Lord has blessed me by becoming a fan of her books. I will be patiently waiting for her next book.
