Review 1 for Will Your Prodigal Come Home?: An Honest Discussion of Struggle & Hope
This book speaks truth, offers hope.
Date:March 23, 2011
"Will Your Prodigal Come Home?" was recommended to me due to struggles in our family life. There were some tough questions to answer and hard truths to grip. The "ah-ha" moment for me was realizing the father in the parable of the prodigal son represents God - not the boy's actual parent(s). Coming home to God is, afterall, what we truly want for our children. Sometimes we as parents get in the way. And sometimes our child is not actually running away from God but running away from our system of religion. The book is easy to read and contains wit, wisdom and hope.
