I bought this book to help me fill in holes in my worldview. I found it to contain well reasoned arguments for the positions the authors hold. I recommend it wholeheartedly for anyone wishing to grow in their understanding of a biblical worldview.

Excellent shape and quick shipping. This is a rather thorough and in-depth resource. Gives a solid foundation for taking back some good intellectual ground in the worldviews arena.

This book is top notch scholarship. If you are a student of theology you should study this book to help make your positions more poignant. Enough cannot be said about how top notch of scholars both Craig and Moreland are! I find that many times those who study theology tend to lack a philosophical edge. This book will help to bolster both logical reasoning and philosophical technique. This book should be studied in detail by both scholar and layman. Philosophical Foundations serves to both introduce various philosophical positions and reasoning as well as evaluate evangelical theological positions in light of supreme philosophical technique. This book will allow its serious reader to refine and nuance his position and to gain a deeper understanding of various aspects relating to his position. I highly recommend this book!

I have never been disappointed by any book by a Phorfessor at Biola University or Talbot School of Theology. Again here they bring information to the laymen. I was not lucky enough to attend college but I wish I could sit in one of their classroom as even I can understand the complex world of Philosophy as they make it accessable to me. It helps me to understand and be able to defend my faith and explain in clear language without sounding stuffy to people who want to know why I believe what I do. Through this book it helped me with the history, philosophy, metaphysical and other major areas of Apologetics (Greek for defense through fact and reason). This is a must read for the student and the curious and those wanting to know more about their faith and why it is the most proven (truth wise) religion out there.

Once again, William Lane Craig and JP Moreland have shown why they are two of the brightest minds --Christian or non-Christian -- in the world today. While the beginner will probably encounter difficulties understanding much of this book, this is material that Christians do need to become more familiar with if we truly intend to love God by having a greater impact on our culture. Their beginning section on "Why Philosopy Matters" is all too convincing in making the case that Christianity needs many more laymen and pastors who are much more competent in matters of philosophy. The book is meticulously outlined making it easier to grasp its flow and has chapter summaries which are quite helpful in assisting the reader grasp otherwise formidable concepts. If you intend to witness effectively for Christ by sharpening your mental skills, attaining a good handle of the book's subject matter will put you well ahead of the pack.
