Another well written and wholesome story by Beth Wiseman. I really enjoyed this story as it was a little different. I like that Beth went away from the traditional Amish wife to give a view with a twist, an Amish woman who could not do anything as far as housekeeping. I like the fact that Aaaron loved her even despite these "shortcomings". I enjoyed aunt Ruth's quirky character. Definitely a good book that I would recommend.

I like most of Beth Wiseman's books that I have read, and this one's good too. The reason why I chose not to add a fifth star is because I hated Leah's dad! He was a wishy-washy jerk to her and she was obviously less loved by him than his other daughters were. She was like a puppy who wanted to please him. He complained and whined that she didn't cook or clean like other Amish women, then when she made efforts to do so, he complained about that. He didn't like her innocent love of writing stories and tried to control and dictate what she did with her imagination, saying there was no other possible calling for her other than to cook and clean in the kitchen all day. So all things considered, he was definitely my least favorite character. I liked Aaron, how he wasn't an oppressive wet blanket like the dad and was willing to accept a less traditional Amish girl. All in all, a good story. Even that terrible dad couldn't ruin the plot. And I know that not every book character can be likable. I still like other books by this author better, though.
