My brother recommended this book to me - he lost his wife last year and the pastor met with him weekly for lunch and discussion of this book. I am almost to the final chapter and I am going to start over! The message is deep but presented in an interesting and often humorous way. I wish I could afford to buy a copy for all my friends.

This book ranks in my top 3 choices of what should be in every Christian's personal library. There is so much never found before freedom in this book.
So many people run around trying to be what others think they should be, or not even realizing what they were created to be. As a result they are miserable, unfulfilled and feeling backslidden because they cannot be what they don't even realize is something they are not meant to be.

The Me I Want to Be speaks to readers where they are and helps each to see that despite teh circumstances they find themselves in or the way they think about themselves, God has a plan for them and that in being the person God meant for them to be, they have significance.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was very user friendly, down to earth, but yet, professional. I appreciated the sense of humor that the author displayed throughout the book; it made reading the book fun. Also, it offered a website to take a discovery summary regarding personality type. That was way cool and very informative.

The book is an easy read but the participant guides take you on a journey that sets the bible as foundation. It's highly recommended that further discussion and study accompany the reading of this book.

This book is great and is very liberating as the author gives scenarios and explains on how to be your true self. It causes one to break away from guilt and condemnation and learn how to walk in grace and acceptance by no other than the Almighty Himself.

I was about to walk away from Christ because knowing Him felt like such hard work, but then I read this book & received freedom & then joy returned.
This book is written for those who began well, but became bogged-down by "religious 'have-to's", for those who desire God but don't seem to "fit" in the "usual" places, for those who need to know that they are different & don't "fit" because that's how GOD designed them.
I would suggest buying a hard copy, you will want to underline & highlite & linger. You will want to read awhile, then put it down to ponder. This will be a book you read & re-read.

This book requires slow reading because it is very thought provoking and deep. I do enjoy the book but it is not one that I'm going to be reading through in a week.

I don't want to write a bad review for this book because it isn't that I feel it was a failure as a book - it's not. However, that said, I felt that though the concepts and key points are good information I feel as though the author wrote it in a very elementary manner, which may work well for some people. It's easy to read but wasn't very captivating for me, personally. There are a lot of example stories about the author's personal life but more are stories of friends, etc. I wouldn't recommend this book if you're looking for something to really challenge your way of thinking or trying to vibrantly renew your faith and/or self-improvement. But if you're looking for a light reading assignment then this book might be good for you.
