Cowboy Boots in Darkest Africa contains Dr. Bill Rice's captivating stories about his missionary trip into the old Belgian Congo in 1951. Born in 1912 and reared in the ranch country of west Texas, Bill Rice pastored several churches, attended Moody Bible Institute, and was a full-time evangelist until he died in 1978. With his wife, he founded the Bill Rice Ranch, a ministry in Tennessee for the deaf that continues today.

This book is a great challenge for every Christian. Men, especially will enjoy the captivating stories of adventure on the African frontier. Wrought with danger, and always containing a challenge at the end, each chapter presents, in a unique way, a story that will bless and inspire the Christian to a closer walk with God. This is definitely recommended reading for adults as well as teenagers, to which it was primarily written, and is sure to bless the soul, while challenging the heart to service.
