What actually happened at the resurrection of Jesus? Using historical criticism and depth psychology, Luedemann reviews the accounts of witnesses, consults Pauline texts, and investigates Easter events, concluding that though the quickening of Christ cannot be believed in a "literal" and scientific sense, we can still be Christians. Casting doubt is devil's idea
Date:August 15, 2013
"though the quickening of Christ cannot be believed in a "literal" and scientific sense, we can still be Christians". this is just the notion of the writer. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is proven in both levels beyond arguments and doubts. 1 Corinthians 15:17 says "if Christ is not risen, your faith is vain, you are still in your sins" then our structure is gone, it is one of the fundamental doctrine of New Testament, the writer is making opinion to misguide believers especially casting doubt on them who are just starting up in faith. CBD should not enlist such books in their collections just to make a buck. This is very unacceptable, Jesus Christ is the Lord and Saviour now who will judge all and the world soon because He is risen. There is no doubt or question on it, it is the solid rock and foundation of Christian faith and teaching.
