A great advantage this film has over others is the fact that it uses only the words of Scripture.

Really happy I bought this DVD. Better then my expectations. Will probably buy it for numberous family members. Will watch it again soon! Enjoyed following alone with my bible. The 3 hour version follows word for word the book of John. Great DVD to have in your collection. Would probably be good for classes who are studying the book of John.

This movie was overshadowed by the release of The Passion, which is a tragedy. This true to the word protrayal of the gospel of John is magnificent! I have purchased and given over 10 copies as gifts, but I never grow tired of watching it myself. For those of us who grew up with television, the visual of the Bible is amazing.

One of the more accurate "movies" I have seen covering Jesus' Ministry on earth represented by John's Gospel.

This is indeed an awesome movie to watch over and over again. It brought the Gospel of John alive to my spirit! The scene at the cross was not as realistic as I had expected, but no movie will ever protray what our Lord went through for us. I felt so much closer to Him as I 'walked' with Him and followed the script with my Bible opened on the side of me. It is such a blessing!

The Gospel of John absolutely wonderful! As with Matthew. Both follow the scriptures to a tee, of course, regarding which translation you are useing. My family and I enjoyed John thourghly. It made the scriptures come alive! We praised God for the insights.

I liked it alot I finally got to watch it last sunday after I came home from the service, I try to relax on sunday with a movie, and a good one like this is great for the spirit, I hope to buy more and maybe invite someone over to watch it also. I see lots of movies I would like and it helps me keep focused, believe me I have many distractions, but to really answer your question the quality was great! I would recommend this to anyone christian or non-christianTHX

Outstanding movie! We like the format which quotes the entire book of John using a narrator speaking over a dramatization for the text and actors speaking the quotes. The "passion" scenes were a bit difficult because of the physical injuries incurred by Jesus so I recommend fast forwarding through this part with children. (It was even a bit much for my 9 year old.) This movie gives Jesus a more serious character than does the Matthew movie by the same producer, which is food for thought. We are still exploring the bonus features but so far they have also been fun and informative.

Yes, the book of John is beautiful and a joy to read... but in no way could my mind bring this text to life like this movie does. I don't spend a lot of time and energy studying the cultural detail and physical settings when I read scripture, so I give thanks to God for giving movie makers the passion and vision to create such inspiring works such as this in order to invigorate my mind and make it more real for me, and others. This movie invokes a child-like excitement and anticipation of the Jesus I expect to meet some day! It also helps me to love him more... because I can see him in the flesh, even if it is just a movie. This movie has my highest recommendation.

I am a collector of biblical films and this one is absolutely the best. My teenage children and I watch it about once a week. It has helped us to memorize scripture.
