I was looking for my first quality Bible to call my own when I found this one. I probably bought it because of the formal look it has (I'm a book freak, so the Italian duo-tone and the gold gloss really got me). I've had it for a few months, and this Bible still impresses me. It has good quality paper, and each page is nice and full of Scripture, with minimal footnotes. Every so often, a page is dedicated to discussing a "Pillar of the Faith," their life, and beliefs. Some of them include Matthew Henry, Martin Luther, Saint Augustine, and Charles Spurgeon. Personally, The NIV Translation as of 2011 is my personal favorite to read. No one who has graduated from junior high will get stumped on any words in it, and yet avoids being too simple a translation. All in all, I own a sturdy, useful Bible. The imitation leather is sturdy and protective, yet with the touch of a fingernail, you see the cover is extremely supple. The "Ten Minute Study Index," "30-Second Thought Starters on Authentic Living," and the "5-minute Reflections in the Psalms," finish off this excellent product I would recommend to anybody.
