A great read! The reformers become more than just historical figures they become flesh and blood people. Never have I understood the motivation and sacrifice of these men of god better! I eagerly await the third volume in this series.

EXCELLENT! This is a must read for all believers and those who especially love history. Roberts Liardon takes historical, factual data and makes it easy to read and interesting. I have a deep respect and am in awe for those who led the way for generations of believers to have a Bible in our own language much less to have a Bible. Their courage and sacrifice has benefited us all. Let us not overlook and ignore our Christian history because we consider it boring. Our current privileges came with a price, it cost someone else dearly. Thank God for each of the Reformation leaders. I was most surprised to learn that the Reformation started much earlier than I had previously learned. Churches should be teaching their people about the Reformers.

As a minister of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, Roberts Liardon is one of the best authors I have ever come across. I have actually had the honor of hearing him minister in person. He is so anointed. If he sees these reviews as well, I would love to encourage him to continue as God gives him the grace to write. I am so blessed by his writings.
