This book focuses on the HOLINESS of GOD. It shows clearly that if we want anything from GOD we must be holy. This is the path that we must follow if we want GOD to be with us. More so if we want revival in our midst then we must follow the path of HOLINESS. The Bible for me is replete with this warning. It is not our prosperity which is a mark of our godliness but it is our HOLINESS which is the mark of GOD in us. This is the contribution of the Revivalist to Christian literature. I love the book.

I really like the book and the 'style' it is written in. It is easy to read and you learn a lot of these man of God.
The only problem I have with the book is that the writer added an quote in from john crowder and that the writer itself is very positive about barking 'in the Spirit' and drunkeness 'in the Spirit'.
But beside that, it was a blessing for my soul and my spiritual life!

Ever thought about how John and Charles Wesley made it to America? Did you even know they had come? This book gives brief biographies of many spiritual leaders. You will enjoy reading both the familiar stories and the not so familiar facts and details of their lives.
Jonathan Edwards, Charles Spurgeon, and Dwight L. Moody are just a few of the more then eleven lives detailed in this book. As the author takes you on their journeys you get a better understanding of the time in which they lived and the work they accomplished. You will see God’s hand in the details of their lives and be moved to serve Him better.
This book is an easy read and great for devotions. You can divide the chapters or just study one person a day or week. A great read for both men and women as you see how the Lord can work in anyone’s life no matter the circumstances. I enjoyed the stories of these great servants of the Lord and am sure you will too.

Really good well written book on people who have influenced Christian history. It is important for us to understand the roles these men and women have played in the spread of the Kingdom of God,inspiring us to pray and seek to see if we can see such things happen again in the desperate times in which we live.
