Carolyn JohnsonGolden Valley, MNAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A GOOD LESSON HERE FOR ALL OF US!July 13, 2012Carolyn JohnsonGolden Valley, MNAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Blue Ruin.Blue Ruin is a typical Grace Livingston Hill book in which she endeavored to set forth a Scriptural principle for life, especially for those in college and about to embark on a career. However, it's valuable for readers of all ages. This is a tragic tale of the sort of thing that can happen to a believer whose pride becomes the ruling factor. I felt at times that Lynette's long and sad emotional state over Dana was a bit much, but, really, it was a good example of the heartache and trauma that an individual can cause another. The carefully worked out plot gave us a few really memorable characters. I guess I would have liked a few more pages about the fine man whom the Lord brought to Lynette, but that's ok--my imagination finished everything off well!
