Sometimes digesting Paul's letters can be a bit daunting; Dr. Ironside's commentaries help explain the meanings in laymen terms. I found it best to read the scripture verses first, then the commentary. Dr. Ironside possessed an excellent vocabulary, so it is helpful to have a dictionary handy to look up those unfamiliar words. This is an excellent bible study reference book, and I highly recommend it. Dr. Ironside's commentaries as well as Dr. J. Vernon McGee's "Thru the Bible" commentaries have been excellent resources for me.

This commentary is excellent! It is an easy read and had given great insight in understanding the grace of our Lord as told in Romans and Galatians...and NOTHING in me can add up to the precious salvation that He had freely given!

I really enjoy Ironside's Commentaries. While many were written in the early 1900s, he shares a unique perspective on biblical doctrine and prophecy against the current events of his time.
