Coleen MBrampton, ONAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A Flood of Revelation on Praise and WorshipOctober 1, 2012Coleen MBrampton, ONAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The Bible said, "the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD" Isaiah 11:9 KJV. This is evident when reading "The Lost Art of Pure Worship". This book will provide you with new revelations on how to praise and worship the LORD. Your worship time whether individual or corporate will change after reading this book.
There are various authors in this book, which keeps it interesting. You will find each author saying the same thing, however in varied ways such as using different scriptures. As a result, the authors re-enforced each other's points of view. For instance, in Chapter 3, Julie Meyer explained worship using the parable of the ten virgins, where praise and worship is as a result of an abundance of oil in your soul spilling over. Again, in Chapter 7 "The Authentic Worshiper", Jeff Deyo deciphers worship as being the overflow from your private time with The LORD, which you share with individuals you meet.
In Chapter 9, "The Prophetic Song of the Lord" author James Goll defines what the song of the Lord is. Also, he instructs you on how to sing the song of the LORD. This is a topic that is rarely spoken about. Singing the song of the Lord makes daily worship easier because it can be done at any time and in so many ways.
This book drives you to go deeper in your relationship with your first love or returning to spending time with the lover of your soul.
The publisher has provided me with a complimentary e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review of this book -
RobinVAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A must read for everyone!August 1, 2012RobinVAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for The Lost Art of Pure Worship. This book was more then I expected. Not only did it open my eyes in revelation after revelation of understanding what it truly means to worship God, but with it conviction on how easily we can get our sight off of Him. James Goll and the other authors/worship leaders did an excellent job with this book. Each person expresses a different aspect of what pure worship is, weather it is singing, dancing, planning or serving, everything we do or say can be an act of pure worship. They explain what it is and how to do it by telling their stories and lining them up with the Word. You don't have to be on a stage leading people to be a worshiper. Worship is in all of us and if you have a desire to know Him more and go deeper in your relationship with Him, this book will guide you in that process. This was a free ebook given to me by the publisher.

James W. Goll and Chris Dupre join forces with four other contributors, well known for their insights and experience as worship leaders in the book "The Lost Art of Pure Worship." Each contributor is passionate about an aspect of worship close to their own heart. Their presentations are written with clarity and relevance.
I gained a new appreciation for, and understanding of, what is meant by pure and intimate worship as coming from "the intent of the heart" offered up as praise, adoration, and thankfulness in pursuit of God.
Each chapter includes the words of a song that "declare the glory of God" and make Jesus the center of our worship, bringing honor and praise to him. Well-chosen scriptures, personal stories, and practical instruction help the reader in their pursuit of a deeper understanding of purity in worship, individually or corporately, as a member of the body of Christ.
Whether worshipping with your words, music, talents, service or lifestyle pure worship is a response to God's love for us, out of a heart "secure in his affection." The words of Sean Feucht caught my attention and capture a fresh look at pure worship. "There is a hungry stirring in the hearts of people all across the world to know, feel, and experience the presence of God. They are in a "quest for authenticity."
"The Lost Art of Pure Worship" gave me a fresh look at the pursuit of worship from a pure heart.
A complimentary copy of the book was provided for review purposes. The opinions expressed are my own.
