I highly recommend this book, I have read it twice, under it's previously published title 'Seeing Through'. David Roper is an excellent author. Do not let the title 'Elijah' fool you - it is much more than a book about the Old Testament prophet. Using Elijah and his times as a model, it deals with many issues that Christians face today. This book answered many questions about what being close to God looks like in the life of a Believer. It contains excellent Study Questions at the end of each chapter.

Review 2 for Elijah: A Man Like Us

This has become one of my all-time favorite books. Dave writes straight to my heart. We often struggle with the questions, "What does abiding in Christ look like?" or "How do we walk in the Spirit?" Without any formulas, Dave is describing the life and faith of one who is passionately racing after God's heart. His words are rich, and create in me a longing to be a person of faith like Elijah.
